Moldova – Desecration of a Jewish Cemetery in Chisinau (Kishinev)
On 25th March 2007, five young vandals desecrated the Jewish cemetery in Chisinau (Kishinev) in broad daylight. After the act of desecration, the father of one of the perpetrators came, and instead of offering to pay for the damage he began beating up the woman guard at the cemetery who had witnessed the act. The police have mounted an investigation of the incident.
