Argentina – Antisemitic Graffiti in the Town of Villa Maria in the Córdoba Department
Since the beginning of October, antisemitic graffiti have appeared several times on the façade of the local synagogue in the town of Villa Maria in the Córdoba Department in central Argentina. The graffiti included anti-Israel slogans and a swastika painted in red. These are not the first incidents of this kind in the Córdoba Department. One of the members of the local Jewish community, Pablo Gornitz said that: "This is a serious incident, and is a cause of considerable concern in our community". The slogans were sprayed in black paint and read: "Israel! Get out of Palestine, Lebanon and Syria". The letter "S" in Israel's name was replaced by a red swastika.
