Iran – Hashemi Rafsanjani: “the Jews were suppressed by Hitler because of their money”

Former president of Iran, Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who in the eve of the elections in Iran, which Ahmadinejad won, was considered the “hope of the west” expressed a severe anti-Semitic comment during the Friday prayers in Iran and even justified Hitler’s acts.
Rafsanjani who serves as the chairman of the Experts Council (the supervising body over Iran president’s activity and the one who is in charge of appointing a new president in the event of the president’s death or if he is found not qualified) and the chairman of the committee for setting the interest (a body serving as an arbitrator between the Majlis of Iran and the Constitution Keepers Council in the event a dispute arises between the legislation and the Iranian constitution) said that before the establishment of the State of Israel, the Jews enjoyed a comfortable life in their countries “except for Europe where they were subject to Hitler’s suppression … because of the trouble they (the Jews) caused the European governments with their money and communication.”
