The controversial French comedian, Dieudonne M'bala M'bala, admitted that he has received payments from Iran in order for him to wage a cultural struggle against Zionism. The comedian, who is considered a self-declared antisemite, further told of a meeting that he held in Teheran last week with Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

"We have received a sizable grant that will enable us to produce films on a scale similar to Hollywood, who acts as a cultural arm of Zionism", declared Dieudonne M'bala M'bala during a press conference that he held at the "Golden Hand" Theatre in Paris. At the same press conference he confirmed his intention to produce two films that will deal with slavery and the Algerian war in order to "display an alternative view of the blacks other than that portrayed by Spielberg".

Dieudonne has been repeatedly accused by the French courts for antisemitic statements and is known as someone who has defined the memory of the Holocaust as "pornography". The 43 year old Cameroon born comedian, who has also founded an anti-Zionist party, refused to disclose the exact sum of the donation from Iran, however a giant poster that welcomed the theater guests in Paris where he is photographed alongside the Iranian president, left no room for doubt regarding their relationship.

The French news agency AFP reported that the press conference held in Paris was very tense and that the journalists in attendance were forced to undergo strict body searches. "Ahmadinejad is better liked in Iran than Sarkouzy is in France", Dieudonne told those present, while defining the Iranian president a "great survivor" and a victim of a "media lynch".

Regarding the opposition demonstrations that accompanied Ahmadinejad's election in June Dieudonne said "they are all echoes of the Zionist propaganda". It should be remembered that Dieudonne was put on trial in 2006 for comparing Jews to slave traders and was obligated to pay a symbolic sum of 5000 Euros compensation to Jewish organizations active against racism. The court determined that he had encouraged racial hatred and had attacked Jews under the camouflage of attributing stigma to those who belittled his worth.
