Australia - Sheikh spreads antisemitism
A controversial Muslim leader who has advocated martyrdom to children and described Jews as pigs could face up to 15 years in jail if charged under Australian anti-terror laws.
Political and religious figures, including local Islamic leaders, accused Sheikh Feiz Muhammad of inciting hatred and terrorism through recorded lectures that have been sold in Australia on DVD.
Sheikh Muhammad says that being a disbeliever is "filth" and makes pig noises after stating that "Jews are pigs that will be killed at the end of the world".
Copies of the DVD were still on sale in an Islamic bookshop in the Sydney suburb of Lakemba, and on the Sydney youth centre's website.

Australia - Police Under Fire for Failure to Prosecute in Anti-Semitic Attacks
Australia - State oppositions have launched a scathing attack on the New South Wales and Victorian Governments over the failure of police to prosecute perpetrators of anti Semitic attacks.
As investigations into separate assaults on Orthodox Jewish students continue in both states, Jewish leaders said there was growing community concern over the spate of unresolved crime which had been “swept under the carpet”.
Aside from the jailing last year of two white supremacists who vandalized the Perth Hebrew Congregation, senior Jewish officials cannot recall a single prosecution over an anti-Israel or anti Semitic attack in Australia since 1991.
“We are reaching a point where one really has to question the competence of our police authorities given their poor record of dealing with a number of criminal attacks against Jewish targets,” said one senior Jewish official, who declined to be named.
The criticism came as Melbourne detectives continued their probe into an alleged attack on two ultra-Orthodox teenagers assaulted outside Melbourne’s Jam Factory.
And Sydney police are also investigating an incident that resulted in a Yeshiva Centre student being hospitalized with a brain hemorrhage.
