Dieudonné Mbala Mbala Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe prevented a movie theater from screening a film about the Antisemitic Party leader known as Dieudonné.

The mayor “totally disapproves” of allowing a southern Paris theater from projecting the documentary, said mayoral spokesman Laurent Fary.

Dieudonné and co-party leaders were set to attend the screening Tuesday at the Entrepot theater amid their final week of campaigning across the Paris region for election to the European Parliament. Voting in France takes place June 7 and Delanoe, of the Socialist Party, has tried to limit the influence of the Antisemitic in the elections.

One of the film’s two directors, Francesco Condemi, told reporters that he and the theater agreed to cooperate with the mayor’s wishes.
