Russia - Newspaper editor sentenced for antisemitic article

The Savelevsky court in Moscow sentenced Yuri Mukhin, editor of "Duel," to a suspended sentence of two years imprisonment after finding him guilty of "publicly calling for extremist activity through the media." The charges stem from an article in which Mr. Mukhin called for "the total destruction of the kike state of Russia" ending the article with the slogan "Death to Russia!" After years of demonizing Jews with impunity, this article attracted the attention of prosecutors, who shut "Duel" down last month under anti-extremism laws.
